Dongnanhuan Project
Dongnanhuan Project, a critical component of the water system surrounding Shijiazhuang, starts at Wuzhi Canal in the west, going through the southeast of the urban area, and connects with Hutuo River in the north, with a total length of 31km. With the function of flood discharge, ecological scenery and industrial concentration, the involved earthwork is 12.1 million m3, consisting of two gates, one steel dam and ship lock, one rubber dam, 8 fixed wharfs, one floating wharf, 17 bridges, 6 water parks, 16km scenery road, and 29km scenery forest belt, all of which constitute a green ecological wall against wind, sand, conserve water and beautify the environment.
